Jacksonville, TX – One Killed in Pedestrian Accident on S Lane Ave

Jacksonville, TX (December 14, 2020) – An automobile accident reported on Saturday evening claimed one person’s life in the Jacksonville area. At around 11:40 p.m., on December 12, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office responded to the site of a crash on South Lane Avenue.

Reports from authorities show that a male pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on the north side of South Lane Avenue near Interstate 10.

The victim was critically injured in the accident. He was provided medical treatment at the site of the incident before being transported to a local hospital for further medical assistance. At this time, the crash remains under investigation.
