Karnes City, TX (February 6, 2020) – A motor vehicle accident Tuesday morning claimed one man’s life.
At around 10:46 a.m., on February 4, authorities were called to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Farm to Market Road 792. Reports indicate that a semi-truck and a 2017 Ford F-150 collided head-on along the roadway near the intersection of State Highway 80.
The driver of the Ford, who was identified as 56-year-old James Dale Shilhavy, suffered fatal injuries and was declared deceased immediately at the scene of the crash.
The driver of the semi-truck, who was identified as 51-year-old Felix Gonzalez, was provided medical treatment at the scene for minor injuries.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
