Killeen, TX (March 6, 2020) – A horrific motor vehicle accident on Tuesday afternoon sadly claimed one victim’s life.
Just before 2:40 p.m., on March 3, authorities were called to the scene of a devastating collision in the 13100 block of South State Highway 195. Investigative reports show that a white Toyota Prius was traveling south along the interstate when a pedestrian ran out into the road.
The driver of the Toyota slowed down when it collided with a black 1999 Harley Davidson motorcycle. The motorcyclist was ejected from his vehicle.
Unfortunately, the motorcyclist, who was later identified as 59-year-old Donald Jay Mires, suffered fatal injuries and was declared deceased.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
