Grapevine, TX (March 2, 2020) – Fatal injuries were reported in a collision after a drunk driver ran a red light at an intersection in Grapevine on Saturday.

On February 29, the Grapevine Police Department responded to the scene of a major motor vehicle accident on northbound William D Tate Avenue (TX-121 service road). Reports state that an impaired driver ran through a stop sign at the intersection of TX-121 and Hall-Johnson Road at around 9:50 a.m.

The driver’s coupe collided with a sedan, causing the sedan to flip over. A passenger inside the sedan was critically injured. CPR was administered at the scene of the accident, as well as during the transportation. Sadly, the 51-year-old female succumbed to her injuries at Baylor Grapevine.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation. Charges are still pending.
