Abilene, TX - Man Arrested in Fatal Hit-&-Run TX-351

Abilene, TX (March 1, 2024) - A man has been arrested in connection with a fatal hit-and-run accident that took place early on Thursday morning, February 29, in Abilene. The deadly accident occurred on TX-351 near a busy intersection with a Greyhound bus station and a shopping center. Emergency responders were notified of the incident at around 5:50 a.m. and were quickly dispatched to the scene. 

When authorities arrived, they found a man lying dead on the roadway. A 59-year-old man in a wheelchair had reportedly been hit by a motor vehicle, and the driver fled the scene without rendering aid. Authorities were later able to find the at-fault driver, and he has been taken into custody.
