UPDATE: Del Valle, TX – Harrison Thomas Beard, Jr. Killed in Tragic Collision Along FM 973

Del Valle, TX (March 30, 2020) – A motor vehicle accident on Sunday morning claimed one victim’s life and left a second victim seriously injured. Just after 5 a.m., on March 29, the Austin Police Department responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident in the 5200 block of Farm to Market Road 973.

Reports indicate that a 55-year-old male was traveling down Farm to Market Road 973 when his vehicle collided with a second vehicle near the intersection with Pearce Lane.

The male sustained fatal injuries and was declared deceased at the scene. The victim was later identified as Harrison Thomas Beard, Jr..

The driver of the second vehicle was seriously injured and rushed to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center for treatment.

At this time, police are investigating.
