El Paso, TX – Eusebio Salazar Killed in Crash on N Zaragoza Rd (FM659)

El Paso, TX (September 11, 2020) – A collision reported in the El Paso area claimed one victim’s life on Wednesday while leaving a second person injured. On the morning of September 9, the El Paso Police Department responded to the scene of a collision on North Zaragoza Road (Farm to Market Road 659).

Reports provided by authorities show that 87-year-old Eusebio Salazar was driving south on North Zaragoza Road when his vehicle was struck by a 2010 Ford Edge, driven by 18-year-old Eian Nevarez, in the 1700 block of the roadway.

Both drivers were injured in the accident. Emergency crews transported the two injured drivers to local hospitals for treatment of injuries. After arriving, Salazar succumbed to his injuries.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
