Helotes, TX – Two Killed & Five Injured in Crash on Bandera Rd

Helotes, TX (January 4, 2021) – A motor vehicle accident reported in the Helotes area claimed the lives of two people while leaving several others injured on Sunday evening. On January 3, authorities were called to the scene of a crash on Bandera Road.

Reports from the police show that at approximately 6:30 p.m., a van carrying a family of six collided with a pickup truck in the 12000 block of Bandera Road near Diamond K Trail.

The two adults in the van were fatally injured in the accident. Both victims were pronounced deceased at the scene. The remaining four in the van, identified only as children ranging between the ages of 2-years-old and 16-years-old, were all transported to University Hospital for the treatment of injuries. The driver of the pickup truck was also transported to University Hospital with unknown injuries.

At this time, the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
