Huntsville, TX – One Killed & Two Injured in Crash on FM 2296

Huntsville, TX (July 11, 2020) – An auto accident late Thursday evening claimed one person’s life and left two others seriously injured. At approximately 10:30 p.m., on July 9, the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Farm to Market Road 2296.

Reports from DPS show that two pickup trucks collided head-on at the intersection of Farm to Market Road 2296 and Farm to Market Road 2929 for unknown reasons. One occupant in each vehicle had to be extricated by responding firefighters. One person was declared deceased at the scene. The second driver was airlifted from the scene of the crash and transported to a local hospital with critical injuries. A third victim was seriously injured and transported via medical helicopter to a local hospital for treatment. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
