Rusk County, TX – Injuries Reported in Crash on TX-64

Rusk County, TX (October 31, 2020) – An auto accident in Rusk County resulted in injuries on Thursday, according to reports. At approximately 6:20 p.m., on October 29, the Carlisle Volunteer Fire Department, Henderson Fire-Rescue, and Rust County Office of Emergency Management responded to the site of a motor vehicle collision on Texas State Highway 64.

Reports from authorities show that a major motor vehicle collision involving two vehicles took place on Texas State Highway 62 near the intersection with County Road 4131.

The crash caused significant delays in the area as crews closed off the highway to clear the scene. One medical helicopter was dispatched to the scene of the accident to transport at least one person to a nearby hospital with critical injuries. At this time, the details surrounding the total number of injured parties are limited.

The police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
