Houston, TX (March 9, 2020) – A motor vehicle accident involving a drunk driver left one person injured and one in custody.

On March 8, emergency crews responded to the scene of a collision in the 14300 block of Hillcroft Street. Reports indicate that a Harris County Precinct 7 Sergeant was traveling down the roadway when his vehicle was T-boned by another driver.

The Sergeant suffered serious injuries and was rushed to Memorial Hermann Hospital for treatment.

The driver of the second vehicle was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital and was charged with driving while intoxicated.

Police are currently investigating.
