Eldorado, TX - One Killed, Another Injured in Semi-Truck Pileup Crash on TX-190

Eldorado, TX (September 21, 2023) - On Friday, September 15, one person was killed and another was hurt following a multi-vehicle collision in Eldorado. 

The deadly accident took place on TX-190 at around 10:15 p.m. It was reported that a 42-year-old Killeen man was driving a 2021 International truck tractor towing a trailer headed westbound on the highway. A 38-year-old Brownwood woman was driving a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck behind the commercial truck. The woman tried to pass the rig and collided head-on with a 66-year-old Christoval headed eastbound in a 2015 Dodge 1500 pickup truck. 

The woman sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Christoval man was transported to Shannon Medical Center for treatment of sustained injuries. No other injuries were reported in the collision. 

The area was reportedly a no-passing zone. No additional information has been provided at this time. 

An ongoing investigation into the cause of the deadly accident is in the hands of local law enforcement officials.
